Yes. In many cases you can register for a series of classes at a discounted rate. For example, our Fire Officer I series offers the four required classes for $500. If you were to take each class individually, they would cost $150 each for a total of $600. That means registering for the full series would save you $25 per class!

You can start whenever you are ready. Ricky Rescue's online classes are designed to work around your schedule. All of our classes are self-paced with open enrollment, and you are not required to begin your course immediately.

To comply with state requirements, you will have 30 days from the day you start your class to complete your course. However, you can complete your course quicker than that if you would like. If your class uses blended learning, you are not required to complete the in-person part of your class within 30 days. However, you are strongly encouraged to take the in-person portion within this timeframe, and should plan your class start date accordingly.

Yes. Nearly every course will have a required textbook, although you can typically begin a class before you receive the textbook. Each class description contains the ISBN for any required textbook, including a link to purchase the book.

No. The cost of the textbook is not included with your class registration. You are responsible for purchasing your own textbook. Textbooks can be purchased through online vendors. We have found that copying and pasting the ISBN into a search engine is usually the quickest way to find the specific book that you’re looking for, and ensures you find the correct, most current edition.

You can reserve your seat for a specific class by viewing our calendar.

In-person days are offered in several locations throughout the state for our students convenience. Please check the in-person schedule for current course offerings and locations. Check your course calendar in the portal for a link to reserve your seat. Although you are not required to complete the in-person part of your class within 30 days, it is highly recommended.

Although you can start a class any time, our rosters run from the first day of the month until the last day of the month. That means we typically have courses graded around the 15th of the following month. Once your course is completed, you will receive an email with your final grade along with your certification.

For Florida courses, we submit the class rosters to the Florida State Fire College. In Florida, your certification normally uploads to FCDICE within one to two business days.

Refunds must be requested within 48 hours from when you registered for your course, as long as you have spent less than a total of two hours logged into the course. You may request a refund by emailing info@rickyrescue.com.

Each college has their own policy. We currently have articulation agreements with both Columbia Southern University and Waldorf University. Please contact your institution's admissions office regarding college credit.

As long as you have met the required hours and have your application for renewal completed, your renewal will be in pending status until we submit your grade to the state. We cannot submit any grades to FCDICE until our next roster ends on the last day of the month. We go through this process with several students every month, and they have no issues with renewal. You will not lose your renewal due to this issue.
